  • In between Christmas and New Years, I decided I was going to try out yoga as a practice of self-care to manage everyday stressors. From then up until 2 weeks ago, I was practicing about 2-3 times a week. Last week after a break due to feeling under the weather, I wanted to jump in a little bit more. After today’s morning session, I’m proud of myself for practicing every day this week. ************************************* I know I’ll have good weeks and less good weeks, but I’ve been able to find myself and my head in a better place with each practice. ************************************ A few people have known about this new practice for me, and I’m not sure that I would be this far along without their initial guidance, encouragement, or support. Growing and developing our mind and body is such a frustrating yet immensely rewarding path and I’m looking forward to where this one, along with the new adventures on my horizon, bring me. #newtoyoga #selfcare #yoga #lifesadventures

  • Since I was little I was always told what I can and can not do. For a long time I beleived it. If someone else said it. Than it must be true. It happens so often that I lost faith in my abilities. I lost faith in myself. Yoga has taught me to believe in myself again. It has taught me that I am in control of myself. Someone else does not get to dictate my life and my goals. I make everything happen. That power is within me. Not just physically in my body but also internally. We are all in control of our own destiny. We just need to believe in ourselves again.

In the meantime, my calendar already has awesome events scheduled for 2019. ✨Upcoming Events✨ •April 5th- Yogastrology®️ inspired class in Hartsville, SC at a private event. •April 6th- Yogastrology®️ inspired class at @soulshine_yogaflorence in Florence, SC •June 29th- Yoga + Dance + Astrology at @oursacredspaceyoga •September 21-22nd- Yogastrology®️ inspired class at ‘Flow Fest’ at @usnwc • October 19th- Yogastrology®️ inspired class at @scyogaandhealingartsfest ————— Stay tuned for further details on each event/class.   • ASANA PER 7 CHAKRA ☯️ SIRSASANA #Sirsasana è una delle posizioni più note in assoluto dello #Yoga. Da alcune scuole è anche definita “il re delle asana”, grazie ai numerosi benefici che apporta se eseguita correttamente. In sanscrito sirsa o shirsa significa “testa” e asana significa “posizione”, pertanto questa asana viene tradotta letteralmente come “la posizione sulla testa”🙃 COME SI FA SIRSASANA Attenzione: Sirsasana è una posizione per praticanti intermedi ed esperti, pertanto richiede, almeno le prime volte, di essere eseguita con molta attenzione e preferibilmente sotto la guida di un insegnante esperto. * Prima di iniziare crea la superficie di appoggio. Ti consigliamo di piegare a metà il tappetino di yoga nella parte anteriore per creare una superficie leggermente più spessa, come base di appoggio per la testa e le mani, che non sia né troppo morbida, né troppo dura e ben stabile, non scivolosa. Se hai appena iniziato a praticare questa asana ti consigliamo anche di esercitarti davanti a un muro. * Posizione iniziale. Siedi in Vajrasana, chinati in avanti e appoggia i gomiti a terra sotto le spalle, in modo che le braccia siano perpendicolari al suolo. Tenendo fermi i gomiti, forma un triangolo con gli avambracci e intreccia le dita delle mani formando una coppa, con i pollici rivolti verso l’alto. Questo triangolo equilatero sarà la tua base di appoggio: è molto importante mantenerlo stabile per eseguire la posizione correttamente. * Posiziona la testa. Sistema la testa appena davanti alle mani, in modo che le dita accolgano la parte posteriore della testa, sopra la nuca. L’area della testa che deve essere a contatto con le mani è tra la nuca e la fronte, fino a massimo 2-3 cm sopra l’attaccatura dei capelli. Con la pratica regolare troverai quale è il punto di appoggio esatto per te. Per alcuni infatti è meglio appoggiare la testa esattamente nella zona dell’attaccatura dei capelli, per altri invece leggermente più in alto. Dopo aver appoggiato la testa, sistema le mani in modo che circondino e sostengano bene la parte posteriore della testa. 🔮💜💟 #meditazione #yoga #pramika #pramikaproject #pramikaasana #reiki #babanamkevalam
