Ein nicht sonderlich altes Bild. Aber es beschreibt dennoch etwas Vergangenes. Das Portal des wunderschönen neogotischen Wolkenkratzers der Adresse 68-74 Trinity Place im Financial District. 1923 wurde dieses Gebäude errichtet und zierte über 90 Jahre diesen Ort mit seinen schönen Kapitellen und Setbacks. 2016 wurde es im Zuge einer Neugestaltung des Gebietes um die Trinity Church und des neuen WTC-Sites abgerissen und wich einem anonymen Glaswolkenkratzer. Eine Schande dass die hohen Tiere von New York nicht aus den Fehlern der 1960er und 1970er-Jahre gelernt haben und nun die letzten kleinen Art Déco und Beaux Arts Schmuckstücke aus dem Stadtbild nehmen müssen. Und das nur für mehr Luxuswohnungen.
