Saturday Story time , grab a hot tea or a coffee and join me 😊... In the constant work of making my new home state of Georgia feel like home, and it has been some work; not that Georgia isn’t beautiful, actually here in Northern Ga, it’s so pretty at times I almost forget how desperately I miss the Pacific Ocean.
Our pup is still supposed to be on down time as she recovers from spaying surgery , she is almost 6 mos old and full of energy , we can’t let her run yet but short leash walks are ok.
Today in between rain and a doable walking temperature of 49 degrees I decided to take her to our local Train Park , this little park has a viewing platform to watch the trains go by, as I was getting out of my car a older gentleman pulled up and we struck up a conversation as he told me he had come from one town over chasing the train. The area of Ca (central) I am from really doesn’t use trains much so this has been new to us;this is a legit hobby, people do chase the trains to watch them go by. In chatting he wanted me to see some photographs he had and wanted to give me some Georgia information ; he is a life long Georgia resident. He pulled out a binder of old photographs of people , businesses and churches from mostly civil war time. He had them labeled and was a wealth of knowledge it was fascinating.
Now I said it was a doable 49 degrees but my body doesn’t understand below 60 much - I need to get the pup a little walk in before it’s too cold, as we are getting ready to part another car pulls in.
It appears they are looking for the train Mr. Putman ( the mans name) goes over to greet the car then calls me over too he doesn’t know the people at all he is just very friendly.
The family in the car was out taking photos the woman in the car was in a elaborate costume , a crown of flowers and full make up. In speaking with her she is from EL Salvador - she dances representing her country and she has lived in Ga for about seven years - she was so happy and smiley - she told us she was 47 and survived breast cancer - she said today was her Birthday and that even with no hair she was going to be happy. —->> part 2 in comments
"Blood Ties" WIP. Found a pretty spot of threads with some nice window light. This dark green bit of stitching is the rail line from Sugarville to Delta to Fillmore Utah. I had no idea this state had a Sugarville but I kinda want to build a Queen Ann Victorian house and live out the rest of my days there.
🌻 yes I’m a wildflower — I’ve been growing and blooming in the wildest of places and conditions for years. ☺️ Right now, and for the past 4 years, I’ve chosen growth over consistency—a consistent job or career or location. I choose to create my own way, through my own work, self-employment, seasonal jobs, and work exchanges. As long as I’m sustained and following my BLISS, that’s really what matters to me ☺️🌻 I like my freedom.
I’ve jumped into several entrepreneurial endeavors in the past 4 years. All were great experiences and businesses that I operate seasonally and pick up when I want to be self-employed. From events to coaching and beyond. I’m constantly creating new things, designing, flowing. I like creating things that make the world better and happier. ❤️🗺🥰🌻✌🏼
