What's not to love about a field testing kind of day? 🏔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After gathering with engineers and designers, our athletes, like here @tinaemelie and @kilianjornet, get out there in the field to put our gear through its paces to help us improve it as we strive to deliver exceptional performance for all our products in the S/LAB range.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And well... Sometimes, they also like to rest after a long day in the mountains, and just enjoy the view. Fair enough. 😅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
**NEW TOYS 🇨🇵🙈** Finally back to try Salomon shoes...they were my first ever trail running shoes 12 years ago and SLAB was just taking over the Équipe line in the ski range for high performance products.
We had one of the unique Salomon store in Toulouse at the time 🤘🏼 👣Kilometers will tell if I like them or not.
They feel light and the design should be great for Motatapu, grippy and open to let the water out 💦
@paceathletic thanks Max for taking so many pairs out hahaha and good luck on the track
Did the Burwalde Woods distance challenge today. Challenge sums up the event for me. Highway conditions made the drive nerve racking and we got lost and ended up in Miami. I forgot to prep my skis which made my first lap quite challenging that i almost gave up. Luckily, a couple of guys re-waxed my skis. Things got better from there but i was just too tired to get anywhere my personal best. The event was a lot of fun. The trails were in excellent shape and the people were super friendly. Oh, the pizza for lunch is always a treat. It's an event i always look forward to. The best part was seeing Dave Lumgair of Shannondale putting on his skis as we were leaving. He's my favourite groomer. #nordicskiing#timetoplay#onegoodday
In the midst of all of our adventuring it's important to take a moment for ourselves. Start your weekend off right with a moment for you by joining us on March 2nd at 8:30am for an hour long yoga flow. Reserve your spot via the link in our bio! #timetoplay#yoga
To be honest, I don’t remember the last day that I skied in the Wasatch without getting a face shot. Fortunately, as all you fellow scientists know, that trend has been fruitful for my laboratory to continue the important #Powderbeardology research. 🤓👍 #TimeToPlay 📷:@samwatsonphotos
I have never been impressed with the whole another year older thing. I was never one for my birthdays, and I’m not sure I have ever counted down the days leading up to it. Just like any day passing, it just came and went.
These past couple of years I realized I was looking at it all wrong. It’s not what I do in the day that really matters to me. That’s what this next year is for. Instead, this day is more like the empty space at the bottom of a chapter and at the top of the next. The space where the author could include a photo, quote or title.
I have come to love this empty space and this day. For here I catch my breath. And then as the trees around me reach for the last bit of sunlight as it all comes to an end, it’s time for me to start writing again.
This year I think I’ll end my chapter with this photo. A goofy smile and a green tunnel.
