Dream big 💜 2 years ago I was 200lb and nearly 9 months pregnant. I was in pain and barely rolling over in bed (yes) or walking up and down hills, let alone running. Even 1 year ago when I had started running again for only a couple months I never imagined I could actually be a marathoner and do it on my own. I spent too many years waiting for someone to be crazy enough to do this with me. LAST first day of my undergrad 😭🙌🏻💕 Truly never thought I’d make it to this day! So in love with my amazing profession and the wonderful people in my cohort 🥰
2019 is going to hold a lot of changes for me! I’ll finish college this year, apply for real life adult jobs, get to move in with one of my best friends of all time and reach new heights with my fitness journey 💕 feeling confident, positive and SO ready for what this year will bring✨😋

The demand for Activity Therapists in the UK and Ireland will soar as our growing ageing population continues and people with long term health conditions seek more ways to try and stay healthy.

We do the work so our clients feel the benefits while having fun! We put in hours of hard work, a lot of behind the scenes planning and goodness knows a LOT of last minute changes and adapting to life circumstances. But that's rec therapy baby! BIKING is an excellent example of implementing a TR activity to achieve goals. Therapeutic Recreation at Lawrence Hall combines therapeutic treatment, recreation, and leisure activities to help youth develop specific skills including: social skills, managing emotions in constructive ways, honing cognitive skills, and enhancing physical fitness or coordination. 45 and still learning....I have to pave my own road to happiness. It is different for everyone—-happiness is with in ourselves. No one or anything external can provide our happiness! We don’t always look perfect but it’s how we feel that matters!!!!!
You create happiness and then share it where you can. It will inspire others—- I tried it the other way...for over 10 years I sunk into my excuses, my bad habits, my gossipy company, my self frustration and I didn’t understand why I was not internally happy.
I had no idea how weak this “easy” route was making me. See it is hard to push yourself, to rise above, to exercise when your tired and choose healthy options in all areas of your life.
I have learned that I am happy when I am active and I feel athletic. Not a beast, not a warrior, not a crazy bad ass!!!!!
Just an active 45 year old mom , living a healthier focused life, being decisive with my actions and smiling on the inside.
I just want to be happy being simply ME!
