Crissy Field. First photo I shot on the Yashica back in November. Enjoying the medium format process more than anything else right now #ilfordhp5#120mm

The day is finally here! @alexspaeth and I are leaving for our delayed honeymoon to the South Island of New Zealand!! We have tons of hiking planned (and a little relaxing), and I am so stoked to visit places I’ve been dreaming of visiting for years!

@jacobwrightphoto going in fist deep to get the clip - fun after hour climbing with these boys at the Cave yesterday. Even more fun was getting my rope stuck on a rusty bolt after fixing it to the ceiling. Swipe right to see the, unofficially named, Middle Earth Cave.

Only surviving winter because of places that look like summer 🌱
Another snowy weekend. As much as I enjoy a good snow I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t stoked for some Arizona sun next week.

I popped into the Roman Baths on the day of the snowfall to grab some shots of the great bath. There was so much snow falling and because it was so cold, there was a lot of steam rising from the water. So I decided to take a long exposure of this particularly famous scene which resulted in a rather mystical look with the smooth water and the steam.

Galigrü aus Portugal. Der Wein schmeckt, die Frise sitzt.
Usually I have to hike or snowshoe to see these views but now I get to take the chairlift up & I’m not complaining 💕❄️ ⛷ #magical

Disbalance of white & blue. Looks like I'm starting to like negative space more and more ⚪🔵

Happiness is a choice, not a result.
Today I'm tired. Actually that's an understatement. I'm exhausted. I have alot of things I could complain about..like the mountain of puke filled laundry that needs to get done, the 2 hrs sleep I've had, or the whiney baby that is a stage one clinger today. .
I can choose to see the negative and wait for something or someone to cheer me up. Or I can choose happiness and joy even it is not my initial reaction.
Life throws us curveballs. Everyone is going through something hard. We've all got shit in our lives we don't like, traits about ourselves we are not proud of, and reasons to throw the towel in and sulk. .
Only you have the power to change your circumstance. You have the power to push through the hard things. YOU can push yourself beyond your boundaries and choose to find joy in the every day. .
So instead of sulking because I'm tired..I'm reminiscing on this past summer. A summer myself and the kids will never forget. A time when I pushed my boundaries and adventured solo with the kids, up mountains, across the provinces, in the camper for an entire month. .
My face says it all. I choose joy.
