( #reklame/ #ad) Just telling Melvin all about Treebeard from Lord of the Rings. I bet he’ll dream about climbing up on him, with a view that would make even his nemesis Mr. Seagull jealous!
We’ve been cozying up in this blanket sent to us from @tartanblanketco. By we I mean mainly Melvin, and me when he agrees to share it. He truly adores it! Perfect cat cave material! When they asked to collaborate it was freezing cold, plus I got really into tartan patterns when I was in Edinburgh. Strange how Scotland does that to you, huh? (Not strange at all really.) This particular one is made out of 70% recycled wool, and that fact + how 30% of the material is made out of stuff that would usually end up in landfills, really appealed to me and my cold limbs. #tartanblanketco
What are you up to this weekend? We plan to snuggle some more, play some video games and hopefully get out for a walk.

So pleased i attended this lovely tea party/sisters meet up today @sistersnetworkproject .
It was so lovely to meet so many new faces and share tips and advice on Ramadan,
which subhanallah is only 3 months away.
Here are a few things that we discussed as well as some of my own ghoughts.
1. The best and most productive thing you can do for Ramadan is plan and prepare. One of the sisters mentioned creating a diary or book dedicated to Ramadan. Now there are multiple ways you can go with that, from writing down your strengths and weaknesses and how to create change within yourself to listing acts if Ibada you want to do daily, weekly or even in the month as a whole.
The key is don't start planning the day Ramadan begins, you need to have your plan ready way before then.
2. Adapt your schedule to your lifestyle.
Now many of us women are wives and mothers. We all know how difficult/unpredictable life can be with kids and how much more difficult it can become when your hot, tired and hungry. #ramadan#in#summer
However something that has helped me when it comes to Ibada and just life in general is changing my mentality on being a mother.
Embracing your role as a mother and understanding the responsibility and reward you earn, will definitely make a difference.
Being a mother is not easy, especially when you can see so many others doing so many things that you would love to do, but may not be able to because of your children restricting you.
Embracing your new life and the position Allah has put you in or chosen for you, will make you more grateful for the opportunities you do have.
And also give you the ability to work around your circumstances, aka babies, and still do what you need to.
Bringing it back to ramadan I'm not saying make excuses and don't do any external Ibada at all, but realise that a major act of Ibada is raising your children and that the little or big acts you do, will be much more rewarding than perhaps someone with different circumstances.
Cheers🍸🍹 To The Weekend!!!

I “accidentally” went book shopping last night after dinner I got a couple books and somehow, this morning, my car went straight back to Barnes and Noble to grab a few more! Strange, right?
QOTD: What’s the name of your Favorite Bookstore?
AOTD: I have a couple local bookstores that I absolutely love. “Gardner’s” where I get a lot of my pre-loved books, and Magic City Books (@magiccitybooks)
