Hey there! 👋 We’re Lauren and Blake! You’ll probably see us whenever you see this beautiful blue, split window, VW Bus 🚎! It’s always been our dream vehicle, and we are having SO much fun sharing it with all of you.
Astrup Fearnley Museet.
A private museum of contemporary art in Oslo. Think I’ll only fit this in before I go to Svalbard. Pity, I’ll miss the Munch Museum. Leave it for next time.
Here I saw some amazing contemporary art.
Francis Bacon- my heart soared. Check out that red!!! Triptych inspired by the Oresteia of Aeschylus, 1981. Such an unexpected treat.
Damien Hirst Eulogy 2008. The only one I could bring myself to post. Powerful, disturbing pieces.
Constance Tenvik, 2018 As if I had not troubles enough of my own, I share those of a thousand imaginary personages and I feel them as accurately as my own.
Anders Holen, figurative sculpture.
Frank Benson, Human Statue 2005. Thèse je created by scanning his subject and using 3D modeling.
Painting by Sigmar Polke, Apparizione 1992. He called this an unpainted painting. Made me think of @charlie_sheard - his has no texture.
And lastly, Anselm Kieffer, Barren Landscape 1987-1989 and his overwhelming work/ installation of lead books The High Priestess/ Zeristromland.
I didn’t get to really take in all this beauty on the way to West Virginia because the weather was terrible, but on the way home I was treated to an incredible array of dramatic mountain scenes and blue skies ❤️ #roadtrip#countryroadstakemehome#stuckinmyhead
