Your heart leans snugly against mine
Two beating promises
In one chest
United by sheer power of will
Two pairs of shoe
Standing beneath the houseplant that you insist compliments the curtains
We are one creature
And we are so much more than the sum of our parts
The chimaera's power fades compared to ours
Your head held high
My neck bent to look up at you
And see the sun reflect in your earrings
Hanging from a metal thread
A promise of love
Okay this!! Also not sure of the fan art, so if you know tag them please :)

tendencies to fall apart
my ribs expand, contract
at the rate of honesty, swept
into our own little respite
my comfort zone is scarce
today, the outside world
is blue and grey, I'd venture
if only I knew, the vultures
left and the hunters gone
to hunt prey anew,
I wonder what becomes
of my fears when I let go
and how the days go on
even as time grows slow
Dear People of the Nation,
When you get up in the morning, do you feel like you lived another day or do you feel like you survived it?
There is an old saying, that says, "You sleep peacefully in your beds in the night, because there are people, who stay awake, guarding the borders and keeping you and the whole country safe". Safety and security seem like mere words, don't they? But, the ones who actually have to carry forward the task of keeping the country safe, stand with their head held high, carrying the responsibility on their shoulders with the josh you all talked about.
When I see my father, wear his uniform and leave home, there seems to be this uncertainty lingering on, till he returns. Soldiers don't get killed, they get martyred. For you. For us. For the nation.
They are humans too, who have a family at home, waiting for them to come back.
And 42 of them, did go back, this time.
The only difference was, they were all wrapped in the flag they fought for.
Every soldier, standing at the border, guarding the sky and the sea, has a life which they cherish, just like you and me. It isn't their job to die for you. Their job is to protect you. So, when a soldier dies, someone who doesn't know you, and yet fought for you, dies. They are like a family, you never met, but always have.
So, pray for them. Be with them, because they have a family like you at home, who have had sleepless nights and non stop tears falling from their eyes, because they lost a son, a brother, a father, and so did we.
