I remember watching pumping iron years ago, seeing @schwarzenegger training in Gold's Gym - the mecca of bodybuilding- and wanting to go there one day.

I got the chance to go, and seeing the famous green wall (although just looks like a terrible unkept wall) was a big moment.

Not just being here, but being able to look back and see the huge physical change my body has gone through really puts it into perspective when it comes to patience and consistency.

Keep working towards your goals, and I promise you will progress step by step until you're there!🙏

  • ONLINE CLIENT @douglas.crocker showing you how to do a near perfect reverse diet coming out of his show.  The picture on the left was the week of competition (1st show)...the pic on the right was 2 months post competition.  We didnt get fat...we didnt get unmotivated....we got BETTER!! BIGGER, HARDER, NASTIER!! Clients come to me all the time that dont want to diet and just want to get bigger....THIS....is why i always recommend shredding off the fat, and then growing from  a lean base.  The rebound post show if handled correctly, can be the absolute best tool for newfound muscle mass.  So if you are in a rut and struggling to change in a growth phase....sometimes dieting down and reestablishing insulin sensitivity, can be just the ticket.   • Recently I had a conversation with a gym goer (also a friend - if you read this post, yes it’s you! 😉) about the use of steroids, which has made me wonder: are they really safe??

For those who are novice like me when it comes to steroids, bodybuilders take them so they can train heavy 6 times a week and still grow from that routine (as opposed to those who train without them and would quickly end up overtrained 😓).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are mixed views about how bad steroids are for you as many believe that steroids can be highly beneficial in bodybuilding and sports athletes IF taken correctly. So let’s look at the facts:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Good: steroids play a key role in bodily processes. In fact, they are produced in our body naturally.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Bad: use of them may lead to liver damage, high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, infertility, tendon rupture, delusions, homicidal rage and mania.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Savage: normal production of testosterone shut down because of the abundance of steroids in the bloodstream and it may not return to normal after steroids are taken 😑
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is it worth it? Well... I’ve been following a strength programme for 10 weeks, predominately 6-day-a-week training schedule and have gained considerable strength and muscle without the use of drugs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To take out from my post: steroids may well help to build muscle & re-cooperate faster but it can also be a mind game and much can be accomplished with simplistic hardcore training and eating like miss piggy 🐷 ✌️

  • About a 1.5 year difference, and I’m only about 3 lbs heavier. The gym won’t give up on you if you don’t give up on it! P.S. don’t mind the redness on my face... I toothpaste burned it trying to prevent swelling 😑
