The other night I inadvertently stumbled into @gowestycampers annual company camp out and they were gracious enough to take my weary behind in for the night and gave me beer 🍻 A real good group of people and an impressive company culture! @taylor.gowesty

This is our first time using the Harvest Host program and loved it!! ❤️ Breweries, wineries, farms, golf courses, museums, Etc allow you to park on their property overnight in exchange for partaking in their goods or services when you are a member of Harvest Host program. We parked at Sea Pines Golf Resort and enjoyed an amazing breakfast at their restaurant, took a little hike through the woods and did a little practice on the driving range. Fore!!

EULOGY FOR THE LIVING ♥️💔
I’ve planned your funeral a thousand times. .
I’ve rehearsed your eulogy. I’ve imagined what I’d wear and how I’d act. I’ve gone over the playlist. .
When you were living distantly, I would wonder how we would get your body home; how I would be informed; how it would happen. Would you be dropped in front of a hospital by a “friend” or would someone call an ambulance? Would you be alone in your room or in an alley or a gas station bathroom? Would the needle be left in your arm while you slipped out of your body and headed for the great beyond or would you have time to clean up the evidence before you left us? Would it hurt?
I’ve imagined the phone call a thousand times. .
It’s the dead of night and my cell rings. I’m startled awake knowing, even before my eyes open, that something’s terribly wrong. I can see myself, hair slightly disheveled, cheeks pink from sleep, answering, “This is she”, breathless and panicky. Then I see my face turn ashen. The phone drops from my hand but for some reason it becomes an old school phone that hangs on the wall with a long windy cord. Then, poof, I literally vanish, just a pile of clothes in the place of my body. I cease to exist because existing without you seems unfathomable. I try to imagine the pain but my heart won’t let me. I barely touch the edges of it but instinctively recoil, knowing this is a dangerous thing to exam in such great detail; I’m going in too far. So, I’m left to wonder, will I break from the pain? Will I take it stoically at first then collapse in deep despair and grief later unable to find my way back? .
I know why my mind plays this sick scenario over and over… in hopes of shielding my heart from the potentially incomprehensible pain of losing you. I think that by imagining every little detail I’ll be prepared when it happens and I won’t be caught off guard. I’ll be ready.
I don’t engage in this morbid fantasy as often as I once did. We’ve lived with this for a long time and you’ve survived many near-death experiences, enough to know you might survive another. I understand now that overdose does not always mean death...... (finished in comments)

It's Stoke the World's winter fundraiser and fantastic event - ReProm: The Night You Never Had! - a prom for adults on March 2, at the South Bay Community Center!
Did you miss (or avoid!) Prom in high school? Did you go but wish it was better? The ReProm is your chance to do it all again - but in Stoke-worthy style!
Providing music for the evening is the amazing @fellyfell_ Fell as DJ, and possibly another musical guest to come!
We'll also have live painting, a silent auction, and sales of beautiful and fun corsages and boutonnières (made by Ariel!) to decorate your outfits and selves - all to raise funds for the Stoke the World event, June 28-30, 2019!
Revisit that awkward waiting for someone to ask you to dance moment and instead hit the dance floor and dance like no-one is watching!
Worried that you'd be laughed at for your foot tall mohawk? Not here! Your friends love you and your wild self no matter how you want to be present.
Was your first prom experience fantastically magical? Come do it all again at ReProm!?
What should I wear?
Tux or poofy dress? Festival-best? Comfiest of comf? Wear what inspires you - it's YOUR prom!
Alcohol (and non-alcoholic drinks) will be sold at the event, so please be sure tuck your ID and funds into your outfit somewhere!
(While most Stoke the World events are family-friendly, this event is ages 21 and over)

Let’s talk nails! Often overlooked, nails are an essential part of your dog’s posture and biomechanics. 🐾
Think about how hard it would be to type, write with a pen, unlock your door, etc if you had long nail extensions. You would have to reprogram the angles of your fingers on keyboards, rely on different knuckles and soft tissue structures to compensate for holding your hands in abnormal positions, etc. Now imagine you had to WALK on those hands — everything about the way you stand, walk, and run would need to change to accommodate your feet hitting the ground at a different angle. 💅
Not only do long toenails affect your pet’s ability to grip the ground, but it changes foot positioning and places more strain on joints and ligaments.
Start training your dog slowly to get used to having their nails trimmed. Banjo was very reactive to his feet being touched when I first started with him, but with patience, he now lets me trim them all. Use treats!!!! I first spent one week just touching his paws and giving treats. Then another week of holding clippers up to his nails (with treats!). The next week we trimmed just one nail per day (again with treats!!). Patience really pays off. Now he actually runs around in circles then throws himself down on his side when I get the nail cutters out because he knows it means... TREATS! 🤤
Of course if you are uncomfortable with trimming nails on your own, or fear you cannot do so safely, ask your veterinary staff or pet’s groomer if they can do it for you. ☺️ #tipoftheday#nails#dogsofinstagram#caninerehab#dogtraining#biomechanics#lososos#dogsofslo
