When Kate started working with me, she had a partial tear in her right Supraspinatus (Shoulder). -
She couldn't reach overhead without pain, her external rotation was limited and she couldn't perform daily actions like putting on her sports bra without pain. -
Her upper body exercise options were very limited and she was frustrated with the diagnosis and treatment she was getting from the various physio's and clinicians she was seeing.
None of it was helping.
For a serious Obstacle course racer and Crossfit aficionado, the lack of momentum and the daily pain and restriction was uber frustrating.
Feeling like she didn't know what to do to bridge the gap between her current unsatisfactory rehab process and her previous levels of training, she reached out to me.
After a few conversations where she outlined her issues, the lack of progress she was making with her rehab and the overall lack of hope regarding the situation, she started working with me.
Oh and one more thing: She was pregnant with her first child throughout our whole training process.
Now? She can press overhead, take her sports bra off without pain and is performing push ups pain free! 🙌
Having less pain and way more range of motion in her shoulder is one huge win.
