Ok. GRAZIE. 🤘🏻❤️🏀

Found these two beauties on our walk. Can’t wait ‘til I grow old and own about 10 animals 🥰

February 20, 2005. That's the day Hunter S. Thompson's life came to a sudden end.
Say what you will about his outrageous behavior that made him so infamous, but his work can not be replicated by anyone.
Hunters writings were so unique that he created his own form of journalism: Gonzo Journalism. Gonzo strived to not be objective, but to tell the story using the philosophy of "fiction is the best fact."
While his stories were full of fictitious accounts of events he witnessed, the spirit of his stories were always true. This is a style that can never be repeated in modern journalism.
From riding with the Hells Angels, to giving brutally honest political commentary, to even tripping on psychedelics with his attorney in Vegas, Dr. Thompson was a rockstar journalist. Like seriously, look it up.
While his stories are entertaining, they are also very serious in mood. Outside of his wreckless behaviour, he was very intelligent on the issues of humanity. It takes a special kind of writer to be able to paint such an honest and sometimes terrifying portrait of reality.
I can only imagine what he would be writing about now surrounding the controversies and social issues today. Unfortunately, we will never know.
Rest in peace Hunter. In Gonzo we trust. ✊
“We had an extraordinary house. The whole neighbourhood gathered up and most of them were on the verge of tears, especially those who were natives to the city and who knew my father.
An old man stood up and asked them: ‘What’s your business with Fuad(my father)?’ That man always helped us with everything. There can no better man than him, that man is HOLY!’ ‘They have sided with the enemy,’ replied the vice-director of the faction. And so everyone stood there shocked.
They sent us to a cooperative in Pulah, Opar. Believe me when I say that when you fulfilled the quota, you got paid 5 LEK per working day, with which you could only buy a box of matches.
I can mention two distinct cases that I remember:
One was my sister’s birthday. We were five people; my brother who was exiled and the two elders. The birthday was in February and the year 1968. We had four boiled potatoes and one corn bread. That’s all we had for the five of us.
Happy National Love Your Pet Day! With my @thesheltiemerlin 🐾 when he was but a wee pup ❤️

I’ve never been one for contests throughout my career, I’m still not, but hearing through a former colleague at the Hartford Courant last week that my name was overheard in the newsroom as a multi winner in the 2019 NENPA Awards over the weekend it felt bitter sweet. I entered the contest before knowing I would be taking a buyout a month later because the entries included drone footage I captured while on the assignments. It opened a whole new perspective of situations our readers hadn’t seen before, at least not in real time like they could using a #drone . Video could be streamed Live over Facebook and featured on the homepage - if I had cellular service that is. I’ve been building and flying drones for about 6 years, became a Part 107 FAA Certified pilot in August of 2016 and took about a year to get management on board and purchase me a #DJI#phantom4pro . Long story short I took home 5 Awards including sweeping the Spot News Video Combined Class for coverage of tornadoes that ripped through the state in May, Coast Guard Cutters keeping the Connecticut River clear of ice during a very cold January and I think of a partially collapsed building in Hartford. I’ve been a huge advocate for integrating drones into the newsroom and see the judges recognize that makes me proud to have gone out on a good note. #drones#dronestagram#dronesdaily#dronesaregood#dronebois#dronegear#dronenerds#aerial#photography#video#news#newspaper#journalism#storyteller@thedroneu@djiglobal
Police in Kilcoy, Queensland are looking for two men who tried to steal an ATM from a gas station late at night on February 19. In the CCTV footage released by the Queensland Police Service, the two men are seen smashing through a door to gain access to the gas station before wrapping a chain around the ATM and attaching it back to the rear of their car. The two apprentice thieves then accelerated the car hoping to remove the ATM from the wall, but the force caused the chain to snap. The men returned a second time and reattached the chain to make another attempt. The result was the same, though, as the chain snapped again, this time causing extensive damage to both the building and the car.
