Had the pleasure of checking out the opening of @chichildtheatre‘s "X-Marks The Spot" this weekend! This multi-sensory production was inspired by children who are visually impaired and a continued mission of inclusivity, so there's a lot of consideration in the details: smells, sounds, descriptions, touch, and even taste! Each table has their own guide to lead them through interactive portions while the actors perform, and let me just say - as delighted as I was with it all, it was even MORE endearing to look around and see how all the kids were taking it in. It's in the round, and you can experience the as much of the performance blindfolded as you choose! So beautiful and well thought out. I left feeling pretty inspired.___________
Recommended for those 8yr and up - great for the whole fam! If you're coming with a small posse I would make sure to arrive early. Check the dates - running through March 3rd! • The show on February 10 is *sensory-friendly* with a quiet room and family restroom available.
• Tix are $35, but you can keep an eye out for 1/2 price tickets via @hottixchicago, and follow Chicago Children’s Theatre to catch discount offers!🧡

“WE LOVE PLAY6S!”
Our team visited École Rocky Mountain House to share PLAY6S with their students today! In partnership with Canadian Tire Jumpstart and Ever Active Schools, we are thrilled to be providing PLAY6S as the key to universal design in physical education!

One of the most significant barriers to participation in physical activity programming that individuals living with disabilities face is a lack of opportunity or available programming. One of our responses to this barrier is PLAY6S. PLAY6S Community Programming is built on a foundation of play. Play is an inherently adaptable and flexible vehicle for connecting people to movement and to their communities. We want to invite you to join our PLAY6S Community Programming operating in Central Alberta, currently in Red Deer and Edson. If you have thought about joining us but didn't have time to register, we are providing the opportunity for you and your family to join us for inclusive and adaptive PLAY! PLAY6S this week will lead us into finding our success in Bounce, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm tonight in Red Deer and from 6:00 -7:00 pm tomorrow in Edson! Visit our website for more information and locations, and feel free to DM us with any questions! We can't wait to see you there!
I have the warm fuzzies to be in Stamford, CT for the week, coaching at Leiter for a third year. Leiter Cup is an open event that’s put on by US Sailing as the US Junior Women’s Singlehanded National Championship Regatta. One of the reasons I’m stoked to get to be involved with this regatta is that by nature of being an open event, this training and regatta experience is inclusive and often is one of the first big regattas some of the participants attend. Exposure to the broader sailing community is so vital for a lot of these sailors to jump to another level and I love to see the boundary pushing and progress for athletes from so many different backgrounds. Looking forward to working with (and definitely learning from) a rockstar (all-female!) coaching staff this year! @ussailing#leiter18#youthsailing#inclusiveprogramming#lasersailing#laserradial#stamfordyachtclub#stamfordct#boatsboatsboats
