I don’t even like 70s/hippie fashion but here I am drawing it. This was supposed to be for the one marker challenge (just a girl in bellbottomed jeans) but I couldn’t NOT use greens and oranges #1970s#70s#1970shippie#hippies

Blues Project Family Dog FD 5 RARE Original Wes Wilson 1966 Handbill
Here is a beautiful handbill for the first Family Dog show at the Avalon Ballroom. Classic art by Wes Wilson featuring the Family Dog’s native American in a top hat smoking a long hand-rolled joint and with the inset of the Dog’s motto “May the baby Jesus shut your mouth and open your mind.” After putting on four shows at the Fillmore in early 1966, Chet Helms moved operations to the Avalon Ballroom, a magical second-floor ballroom at Sutter and Van Ness in San Francisco. The acts for this first weekend featured the Blues Project from Greenwich Village, most notably Al Kooper and Danny Kalb. Al Kooper played on Bob Dylan’s 1965 album “Bringing It All Back Home” and created one of the coolest organ hooks of all time in the recording of “Like a Rolling Stone.” The up and coming San Francisco band, the Great Society, was also on the bill with tunes like “White Rabbit” written by their lead vocalist, a young Grace Slick, later of the Jefferson Airplane. This standard size handbill comes in two versions, both issued before the concert, one with black ink on white paper and the version offered here, blue ink on white paper. The handbill is always super tough to find, especially in excellent shape. The blue version, in our experience, is one of the top top rarities in the Family Dog series..
