I recently spent 10 days exploring Cambodia 🇰🇭
My journey began up North in Siem Reap, near the ancient ruins of Angkor.
Angkor was the capital of the Khmer Empire and was once the largest city in the world.

Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra.
First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Wish we were back in Zion hiking in the snow right now 😍. Looks like the storm is rolling in. Can’t wait for this Saturday for some snow chasing with @tcheston
It is about 11km to the pass, Paso Huemul. It was very windy today, but a tail wind that helped me in the last steep push. From the other side of the pass, it is a 3km very steep downhill hike to the campsite and beautiful Lake Viedma! The glacier is very actively calving... lots of icebergs right in front of our campsite and also huge pieces breaking off the icebergs. The 3rd picture was taken only moments after the 2nd and you can see the right side of that huge iceberg missing. Day three! Pretty good weather today... it was cloudy but we could see quite far back along the beautiful Viedma Glacier. My friend and I did the ice trek on this glacier three years ago but they don’t offer it anymore because the glacier is receding quickly and now too unstable ☹️. Since 1930, Viedma Glacier has lost 50m of its height and 1km of its depth. It could be completely gone in a few decades.
