To say it’s been an adventure with Dex would be an understatement.
From being diagnosed with hip dysplasia as a puppy and almost not being able to get up, to beating the odds and chasing (with healthy legs) everything and everyone. A dog that had his own calendar, spent weekends on underwater treadmills, swimming or going for acupuncture treatments.
He had a couple of animal behaviorist “experts” shaking their heads and sent one stranger who said “its okay Im good with dogs” to hospital.
Always wanting to be a goofball and not liking the serious stuff, he was taught and played hide n seek by an eleven-year old human (although he could never find her😂). Lindzi’s shadow & protector, my training buddy, the cat’s partner in crime and Morgy’s best friend.
His last week was a brave battle with fast-spreading arthritis in his legs, but unfortunately it would be our last chapter together with our boy.
Thank you for all your love and crazy memories Dex! You will be dearly missed by many... #dexthegsd#gsd#gsdofinstagram#germanshepherd
Not really sure how one of my slippers ended up in what the dog believes to be her thrashing room (known to everyone else as the baby's room). I presume she must have had a particularly dramatic episode of running back & forth & round in circles maniacally whilst we were at work... #dogsofinstagram#germanshepherd#slippers#nursery
