Sabe o que é mais bizarro? É que ela levou apenas um ano e meio para ser construída.
• A Ponte Hercílio Luz foi inaugurada em 1926. São 93 anos da nossa, carinhosamente chamada de, Velha senhora.

Por muitos anos ela era a única ligação entre Ilha e Continente. Hoje são três pontes. Mas é possível trafegar apenas em duas, a Pedro Ivo e a Colombo Sales. E o estado delas, bem... isso fica para um próximo post! -

Alterações inflamatórias no estômago causadas pela Helicobacter #pylori afetam indiretamente e diretamente a função hepática. Além disso, as bactérias podem piorar o curso da cirrose hepática.
O estudo de Pogorzelska et al. incluiu 147 pacientes com cirrose hepática: 42 estavam infectados com o vírus da hepatite C, 31 estavam infectados com o vírus da hepatite B, 56 tinham cirrose hepática alcoólica e 18 tinham cirrose biliar primária. O diagnóstico da infecção por H. pylori foi realizado com base na presença de anticorpos anti-imunoglobulina G no soro.
A infecção por H. pylori foi encontrada em 46,9% dos pacientes. A incidência de infecção por H. pylori entre pacientes com cirrose hepática pós-inflamatória foi significativamente maior (P = 0,001), em comparação com pacientes com cirrose hepática alcoólica. A concentração de amônia foi significativamente maior em pacientes infectados com H. pylori, em comparação com indivíduos não infectados (129 versus 112 μmol / l; P = 0,002). A incidência de infecção por H. pylori em pacientes sem varizes esofágicas foi significativamente menor em comparação com pacientes com varizes esofágicas (14 vs. 60%; P <0,001). CONCLUSÃO: A infecção por H. pylori é significativamente mais freqüente entre pacientes com cirrose hepática pós-inflamatória (infectada pelo vírus da hepatite C ou pelo vírus da hepatite B) do que em pacientes com cirrose hepática alcoólica ou cirrose biliar primária. A infecção por H. pylori correlaciona-se com a concentração elevada de amônia sanguínea e a incidência de varizes esofágicas.
Se esses achados são causais ou secundários ainda há que se definir.
