  • Injuries suck! Little or big, they really just..suck lol 😂 welp decided to write you babes a little cheat sheet for what I do whenever I feel like something is off after a workout and I need to slow down and heal some muscles, so you can get back out there and keep hitting those PR’s💪🏼 . - ***disclaimer I am not a physician these are my personal experiences with injuries and the recovery process in hopes it will help others. If you are ever not sure about an injury or pain you are experiencing please ask your dr👩‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️**** - 1. The minute you feel something is off during an exercise, stop 🛑✋🏼, adjust, check your form in the mirror. Even if this means dropping your weights👇🏼 and only performing the exercise with body weight to get the proper form down; DO IT. If you feel any lower back pain, neck pain, or sharp shooting pains, stop the exercise for the day and start recovering. - 2. In my experience when I have had an injury the first thing I do is go home and ICE ❄️ the inflammation. Sometimes my injury isn’t apparent the same day, sometimes it’s the next morning that’s still ok, ice! 15 mins on, 15 mins off ❄️ - 3. If you want to take it one step further with the icing try doing some cryotherapy. I usually use cryotherapy when I need a full body icing. Cryotherapy, has a positive effect on soft tissues and decreases muscle soreness 👍🏼 . - 4. After 2 ish days of icing I start introducing heat 🔥 If you have a tub grab some epsom salt from your local drugstore and fill up your 🛁 with warm water and 1 cup of epsom salt - 5. Yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ and sauna 🧖🏻‍♀️ will be your best friend for the next 2-3 days. Yoga is fantastic for getting that blood flowing back to the injury(if injury allows some light yoga) and start some light stretching. Also try introducing some light foam rolling! . - That’s it! Hope this helped, and save this post for later 🙆🏻‍♀️ hopefully you will never need it but if you do, ya girl got you! 😉🙌🏼

  • Einmal Bizeps zeigen, bitte! 🦖 Zu dem Bild muss ich eine kleine Story erzählen: Das ist im Fitnessraum im Internat. Und als mich gerade keiner gesehen hat, habe ich die Kamera ausgepackt und ganz undezent mit Stativ dran auf der Heizung abgestellt. Selbstauslöser an, und wollte schnell ein paar Fotos machen 📸 Und grade dann kamen zwei Jungs zur Tür rein 🤦🏼‍♀️ Eigentlich hätte ich schnell versucht die Kamera verschwinden zu lassen, weil es mir peinlich ist, und hätte gehofft, dass es niemand gesehen hat 👀 Aber es war mir plötzlich wirklich egal! Ich hab einfach geposed und Fotos gemacht und siehe da, es hat eigentlich auch keinen interessiert 🙆🏼‍♀️ Ich bin echt ein bisschen stolz auf mich 🙏🏼 und es fühlt sich so gut an, einfach zu machen egal was jetzt irgendwer denken könnte 🥳 Ist euch sowas sonst peinlich oder könnt ihr das komplett ausblenden? 🧐

  • Oh hey! Little late to the game here but thought I'd share my Sunday meal prep! The end of the week is fast approaching, so it's time to start thinking about what to prepare! I decided to split our lunches into two different meals so we didn't get sick of it. 👅 -Ground Turkey taco meat with roasted asparagus, mushrooms and zucchini🍄 -Sliced Chicken breasts with spinach and mushrooms in a low calorie alfredo sauce 🍗 -Egg whites scrambled with salsa and slice deli turkey🥚 It makes life so much easier with busy weeks to just grab and go!
