Main poster of drama ‘It’s alright, this is love’ as a beautiful pin! Haven’t started to watch it but I bought this pin without hesitation. Think I was pretty sure that I’ll like the drama anyway😗 Vivid transparent red color is so awesome! Lines and details are great too.

To Kill A Mockingbird (1962). My love for the novel knows no bounds which made me a bit disappointed after watching this film. If you’ve never read Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” then I suggest you do so right now and let your life be changed forever.
Is this a bad film? Not by a long shot and while I do not like to compare a book to a film (two different mediums) the pacing is where I had the biggest issue with this film. The film gets the essences of the novel which I love and Gregory Peck IS Atticus Finch! The actors and their performances are astounding which is shocking since the focus is on children!
The scene that always gets to me is when Scout, Jim, and Dill visit Atticus at the jail where a lynch mob has gathered and Scout talks to Mr. Cunningham about his son and how she’s grateful for the food he brought. A child’s innocence pierces through and I do not know they were able to recreate that same effect on screen but all I know is I can’t hold myself back the water works.
The issue with this film is that it doesn’t allow you to sink in the moment and let the audience bask in the depth of this film. I think because they compacted this entire novel into a two hour film speeds up the pace from one scene to the next. Had it been longer like two hours and a half it would have the right flow.
One clear example is Bob Ewell in the novel starts stalking certain individuals basically terrorizing them and you feel as though a bomb is going to explode which is does in the terrifying chase scene with Scout and Jim but in the film they jumped from court case, Tom Robinson to chase scene not letting the audience breathe for a moment and digest the heartbreaking moments of racial injustice and the climatic ending.
Overall this is a classic that everyone must watch or read whatever is your choosing. The idea that a white southern woman in the 1950s wrote about racism, white privilege, and racial injustice is outstanding and through the eyes of a child is one of the best southern gothic novels/films I’ve ever discovered. (4/5 Stars)
