- OH SO PRETTY COUTURE-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Isn’t Dior one of the amazing most amazing couturiers!! So much attention to detail during this seasons circus themed show! And I am also super excited to try and visit the Dior exhibition at the @vamuseum this Spring! Who else is attempting that?? It looks stunning! You can also see a bit more about the current couture collection on my latest blog post, link in my profile bio!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“OMG! Here are some pics from 2008- this was my second professional shoot for my brand and my first actual “collection.” During this time I was 18/19 living on my own and working 3 part time jobs while attending community college for basic studies + my real estate license while somehow still working on my dream fashion career. (I also think this was the year I dropped out of college because I couldn’t find parking one morning LOL school ain’t for everyone) & in case you’re wondering what my jobs during this time were... I worked sales and styling for BCBG (later for bebe after getting fired under conflict of interest of being a designer) as well as a server at a high-end Italian restaurant and also picking up pizza shifts on the weekends at my old high school job by the pier. This was the same year I had my first “fashion show” (academy awards gala- see previous post), my second “fashion show” at a restaurant in Hollywood right behind the Capital Records building (where all my stuff got stolen that night backstage!), and my third “fashion show” at a club in Orange County (where one of my models had gotten into a minor car wreck right before the show and thus I lost one look! I also lost my server job over this because they wouldn’t give me the night off) AND my very first major print publication in the Los Angeles Newspaper about me and my aspirations as a young designer (I have it framed somewhere to this day!) ...& gawddamn this was all 11 years ago! More #FlashbackFebruary fashion posts to come... 💖✨💖” #MARIALIA
