Vessels on black, all thrown with iron rich stoneware clay bodies and reduction fired, turning them from powdery glazes that are mostly pinks, reds and whites, to stone-like greens, greys and blues.
Through this process of firing they revert back to stone, undoing millions of years worth of erosion and weathering of feldspathic rocks until it resembles the soft, malleable material used to make pottery with.
Although all of that said above isn’t that romantic when the clay you use is wrapped up in a wire tied bag from a manufacturer who creates clay bodies from materials that come from all over the planet. I was always amazed when I watched the famous films of the last country potter Isaac Button, who not only could throw a tons worth of clay a day, but he’d dig it up and process it all himself, (I can’t recommend the videos enough—they’re very easily found online). It’s rare that potters these days are involved with every single step, from digging the clay, preparing it, throwing it, firing it and finally selling it, especially nowadays. I certainly don’t fall into that rare category of potters who work in this manner but I have the utmost respect for those who do. And while I may never be a potter who heads out to shovel up their own clay, I love the idea of incorporating locally sourced materials, creating my own slips to brush over pots or to find granites to do my own calcination with, crush it down and mix it into clays and so on—there’s an awful lot and so much I’d like to experiment with. Most potters seem to experiment their whole lives with materials, chasing ideas, encountering probably more failures than successes.
I heard you all like geckos. 😊 Watch as I paint an Oreo Whiteout morph in this mini tutorial. Wanna see me sculpt or paint something in particular, let me know below. ⬇

I received a cute PR package of slime by @slimes.pakistan
Thankyou so much for sending this cute thingy my wayy❤
Yesterday I received a cute PR package of slime .Firstly they included so many extras it was crazy! They are super generous and nothing leaked. You can really tell that they put alot of work into the package.
I love the micro beads as they were awesome! What I really liked the most is that the slime are very holdable, stretchy, and don't become sticky and make nice sizzling sounds along with that they make nice bubbles and good swirl the slime is fluffy and super glossy⭐
i miss making lil dudes, life needs to hurry up so i can have a kiln in a cute little house with lots of puppies and kitties and a garden 🌈
