  • Last night, I saw an ad for pretzel crust pizza with nacho cheese sauce. In that moment, I 100% could have eaten 3 of them whole. I haven’t eaten anything but whole foods for the last 7 weeks and really wanted some junk food. I figured it was time for another progress pic to amp myself up again. Comparing these two pictures is beyond motivating. Not only is there an 11 pound difference, but there’s a difference in personality. On the right is a girl who blames her weight gain her on a stressful job and a busy schedule. On the left, is a girl who loves her body, job, and life in general. This diet hasn’t just changed my body, but it’s changed my life as a whole. The fact that I’m getting stronger is a major bonus. So while I might have to kiss those pretzel pizzas good bye for now, I’d give a thousand of them up to feel this good. Thanks @rpstrength

Moving to a new city, getting a new job or buying a great new outfit all circulate new energy. But learning a new exercise is just as invigorating but probably a whole lot less expensive. .

  • Truth: I don’t always feel like working out. I actually had my alarm set for 5 this morning just in case I decided to sleep in and not get up and workout. Luckily I made a commitment to workout with one of my girls this morning so I got up, drank my pre, and got it done. I was super uncoordinated and got frustrated, but I didn’t give up. I got it done. .

Guys, you won’t always have the motivation to workout. You won’t always have the motivation to go out and buy healthy food. You won’t always have the motivation to prep said healthy food. Sometimes you won’t feel like it. At all. The difference, though, is having the DISCIPLINE to do it anyway. ✌🏻

Clients who train like absolute beasts need to be pushed to another level. @simrangrewal_ smashes everything I give her whether it’s heavy deadlifts, new accessories or high volume met-cons to finish a workout. 
She is currently working under a 4 day split of two lower and two upper body days. Although the primary goal is body composition, she’ll often work at higher RPE’s and lift for 3-5 reps. Using both strength and hypertrophy based phases has had a huge impact on her physique (photos coming soon ☺️) but here’s a little sample of one of her routines:

A1 3x3 sumo deadlift 
B1 3x6-8 BB pin squat
B2 3x6-8 snatch grip back extension 
C1 3x20 banded hypers 
Doing 15-20 reps exclusively on cable machines every session will only work for so long. Use a variety of rep ranges, resistances and training styles to witness some real quality physical changes.
