Last week we headed to California for, amongst other things, the Chinese New Year (the year of the Pig.) On New Year’s Eve, it’s customary to celebrate with a large family dinner. This particular dinner had 10+ dishes and various types of steamed dumpling. The ladies drank a Chinese Cabernet from Beiyujia Valley in Shandong Province. The Changyu vineyard has over 120 year history making wine in the European chateau style; the gentlemen drank a famous Chinese 5 grains liquor called Wuliangye, first created before or during the Ming Dynasty, and made from millet, corn, glutinous rice, long grain rice and wheat. It was really good! .. #california#chinesenewyear#chinesefood#celebrations#yearofthepig#culture
No roses and no chocolate at my request! Valentine’s Day is just like another day for us ! It is retailer’s stronghold on us consumers because not just today but everyday must we all stop to smell the roses. Today for me has been a happy day. One filled with gratitude and satisfaction. Let us acknowledge people around us,be kind and caring and “love thyself” first for if you don’t know how to love yourself you ain’t gonna be able to share the love. Today Vipan heads off to a meeting, like any other day, and I felt like sharing my love with not just him but show some gratitude to his staff at the office , who keep him busy drilling, filling and making people happy and they say a happy hubby equals a happy wife. I created 2 boards. One for the girls at the office and one for the Mousavi kids because they too deserve the best! Red hearts today and forever!
