We ended our tour with Elizabeth, Craig, Tom and Barbara with wonderful views of Rufous-naped Wrens and Stripe-headed Sparrows (among many others of course) in the arid country south of Honduras' capital. In connection with the earlier post. The first pic is a Crested Hawk Eagle. Notice the white part on the center chest and narrower dark underparts with multiple fringes of white and black. The second pic is a Crested Serpent Eagle. Broader dark underparts and single white band on the fan shaped tail. These colour and pattern variations are extremely helpful in identifying flying raptors. #birdsofindia#birdsinflight#birdsofinstagram#birds_of_instagram
