Throwback to what for me, was one of the most iconic and important images of 2018 in the battle against pollution.
Taken in Mumbai by @haram_khor_ , it truly shows the damage of our single-use, wasteful lifestyles. We can do better and people are starting to realise that! 🌏❤️

People often misunderstand non-attachment as disassociating or not caring.
It is not this at all.
•
I learned this brilliant analogy from @anipemachodron: “Think of attachment as a closed fist.
Non-attachment is an open palm.
Non-attachment allows you to still be deeply connected to other people and the world around you.
You aren’t clinging so tightly to everything.”
•
When we want so badly to control the outcome of a situation, this can create a lot of anxiety.
Non-attachment allows us to trust the beauty of change my loves. ❤️

Zero waste, reusable sandwich bags by team member @badgerandbobbins .

I love making products that give me a warm feeling inside. These reusable sandwich bags definitely do. At Badger and Bobbins we are really passionate about materials. We do our best to source the best materials to deliver quality products. Not just the way they look but also how they are created.
We are also particularly fussy about sourcing ecofriendly options where possible. The waterproof lining of these sandwich bags is created using ecofriendly methods without chemicals and with zero emissions. This means it is fully food safe and low impact on the environment. It is also incredibly durable and can be washed in the machine over and over again.
They are currently available £10 each + p&p in new spring colours from our etsy store. Link in bio.

⚠️⚠️⚠️URGENT!!!! Jazzy is a 2yr old female pittie weighs 52 lbs and appears to have had a few litters. Her owner surrendered her, and the only info we have on her is that they kept her outside and didn’t know anything else about her behavior/personality. She allowed shelter staff to do intake on her. In her kennel she cowers down in the back if you open the door to interact with her.

Gop is dead. Gop remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?

"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them." ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
An extremely ironic balloon from @tildarice found on Sands Of Sound Beach, Shetland.
This balloon is quite a contradiction to 'genuine goodness.' Helium is a finite and precious gas which cannot be manufactured, and in this instance it has been used to fill a plastic balloon attached to a plastic tube base and strong plastic string, as a marketing ploy to to sell people plastic-wrapped rice. These plastics will never ever biodegrade.
Now doesn't that all sound a bit mad?! 🎈
We hope Tilda have stopped using balloons to market products, and trust Shetland businesses also consider this when deciding how to market our own island products.
