  • A photo of me when I was 16. I was so happy within myself then. Now I'm just a ball of emotional mess. Today I feel terrible. I just want the world to stop. To be able to press pause and not have to face anything at all. I feel so distant and disconnected from everyone and everything. I don't know what to do. #depression #aspergers #anxiety #mentalhealth #down #low #whatdoido

  • - Tropical Fruits I'M BACK HEHEHEE. To be honest I'll probably leave again in a couple months but yeah. It's been almost a year!! I'm just more active on my repost account. Sorry for the bad angle and my awkwardness, I'm trying to figure out a setup that has good lighting and isn't too wobbly. Anyways, try to enjoy? -

  • PTSD Simulator I saw these simulated animations which were supposed to imitate the auditory and visual hallucinations brought about by schizophrenia or schizophrenic states with the disclaimer that it’s different for every one. This is the best I can simulate some of my PTSD nightmares. If I could add audio it would be loud white noise to simulate a panic attack under these situations. My senses of sight and hearing are elevated to an incapacitating level (like a migraine). Sorry for the half assed art, but I never really painted before. This was done in ArtRage with motion done in the Werble app.——————————————————————————— #mentalillness #depression #anxiety #bpd #bipolar #ptsd #suicideprevention #suicideawareness #suicide #suicidal #endthestigma #arttherapy #recovery #relapse

  • Mental illness is not fun. When you go through your moments you don’t really talk to people too much & that’s when you seem to lose people the most & it’s pretty sad because I am constantly there for everyone; even people I don’t know but that’s who I am. People fade away during the rough times & as the years go on the people i can count on to be here get less and less 😂 🤷🏻‍♀️ #mentalhealthawareness #mentalillness #strong #imtoonice #bipolar #anxiety #mooddisorder #mentalillnessisreal

  • Reminder that it’s okay to always be happy or peppy or feel amazing. Sometimes you get down, anxious, sad, mad, for no reason. Sometimes the little nagging voice in your head that says you’re not enough gets louder and harder to ignore. Life isn’t always perfect, but the important thing to remember during those hard moments is that it will pass. Don’t let it define you. But don’t suppress the feelings either. Feel them, feel them and then move forward. Remind yourself of your worth because you are worth so so much

I was starting to have a panic attack and wanted to leave, but I made it and still left with too much stuff 😅 #anxiety #cryinginpublicplaces

  • Taken two years ago on Valentine's Day, the day I had my first anxiety attack. It had been building up for a long while. I got therapy, walked up to 10 miles a day, and kept eating clean—weighing every bite I ate. It wasn't enough. ➖ I quit dieting that fall so I wasn't hungry anymore. But I was gaining weight as I re-fed myself and life, in general, was still hard. We made another move, this time to the woods; another big transition (no matter how lovely) after the too-much transition was rough. I'd slipped into depression by the end of the year. ➖ It was time for the big guns: meds.* And long term, I had to work through my relationship with this worry mind, my body, and food. I had been unconsciously trying to manage my anxiety with dieting, hoping that it would give me some control, a handle to hold in a scary time. I thought being thin would make life better, easier, less chaotic, that I’d be more likable, more youthful, more attractive to those I was meeting out here. Aren’t those the messages we get? Health-izing my body was a glowy fire that drew me in. But before I knew it, I was sitting in coals. It wasn’t comforting anymore, now I had third-degree burns. ➖ Because nothing will “fix” you, not even what you eat or don't eat. Sure, food is our nourishment and it can be medicine, too. But it's not everything. We’re steeped in a culture that’s obsessed with beauty, and especially being thin. That's the seductively dangerous side of the whole wellness lifestyle thing. ➖ I’ve been in bed with this messed-up society, it's touched me wrong everywhere. It's kept me small, quiet, and afraid. But no more. Asking for your approval doesn't work for me and I simply don’t have the time or energy for it anymore. I’m here for the shine, the good stuff now—a kitchen dance; a run downhill; a wildcard slapped on the table with a grin; an email that's all exclamation points; a troubadour belting her song; a bear released from a trap; a gorilla beating her chest, swinging her arms; being freshwater to dry souls; an energizing wind that blows; no more a burn victim, the FIRE that roars. See note in comment.

  • [12-1-19 ] EVERYONE IS WATCHING ME Many people with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) often feel like others are watching them. The simple act of walking through a crowd becomes a challenge when an individual is overwhelmed with the fear of every passerby scrutinizing their appearance. The issue with social anxiety, as with most forms of anxiety, is that the anxieties and fears are not just conscious. “Dealing” with them through avoidance may get rid of the conscious fears but the unconscious fears still wreak havoc on the human brain. Beneath the surface, the brain is still “running the circuit” of fear, except that you cannot hear or feel it. You might feel a lot more self-conscious and scared than other people do in social interactions. But don’t let fear keep you from living life to the fullest. Try these seven tips to help you feel better and get through the day. 1. Control Your Breathing. Anxiety can cause changes in your body that make you uncomfortable.Try the 478 thecnique. 2. Try Exercise or Progressive Muscle Relaxation. Research shows that certain physical activities like jogging can help lower your anxiety. Progressive muscle relaxation can help, too. 3. Prepare. Plan ahead for social situations that make you nervous can help you feel more confident. 4.Start Small. Don’t jump into big social situations. 5.Take the Focus Off Yourself. Try shifting your attention to what’s happening around you instead of what’s inside your head. 6.Talk back to negative thoughts. One way to do this is simply to use pen and paper: 1.Think of all the negative thoughts you have in specific situations. 2.Write them down. 3.Write down positive thoughts that challenge negative ones. 7.Don't lose hope. "There will be a day when you will say you're okay and mean it" 👁️ 👁️ 👁️ #StartToThinkYellow #Yellow #Positivevibes #positive #sad #socialanxietydisorder #socialanxiety #mentalhealth #mental #health #anxiety #anxious #school #stress #help #advices #mentalillness #aesthetic #kanken #yellowkanken
