Hallstatt, Austria 🇦🇹 The fairy tale lake town you need to visit😍
Hallstatt is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage region and is believed to be the oldest still-inhabited village in Europe.
Up to the 19th Century, the only possible way to reach Hallstatt was either by boat or via very narrow trails.
Who would you visit this place with?

For many people from Novara it’s a landmark.
During cold and sunny days,
when from balconies or fields you can see the amazing mountains sorrounding us,
to know if the sky is really clear just keep your gaze to the southwest.
Maybe while sun‘s going down...
it’ll be really awesome.
If you’ll see this peak rising lonely among the others sweeter, you’ll know it‘s Monviso, where river Po’ is born.

Today at work my boss referred to my upcoming departure as the biggest news of the year after Brexit!!!
.
Initially I thought this was a compliment as he needed to put plans in place ready to lose such an EXCELLENT member of staff, but then I realised he voted leave....
.
So maybe that's not what he meant after all...

🎨Bonaparte valica il Gran San Bernardo
👨🏻🎨Jacques-Louis David
⚫1801
🎨Napoleon Crossing the Alps
👨🏻🎨Jacques-Louis David
⚫1801
David painted five versions of this painting.
Napoleon is represented at the time of his crossing of the Great Saint Bernard Pass with the army that will follow him in the victorious second campaign of Italy.
Bonaparte is presented in a general's uniform, with on his head a gallon bicorn of gold, armed with a Mamluk sword, while on his shoulders is a cape inflated by the wind that wraps around his shoulders. He mounts a horse and with his left hand clings to the bridle. The whole scene is directed towards the viewer and the general indicates the direction with his right hand. In the background, soldiers climb the mountain, bringing a cannon with them. At the bottom right is a tricolor that floats in the air.
