One of the greatest myths is about failure. Given that all success is born from mountains of previous failures, this bullshit about failure persists. In truth you are either learning from failure or failing to live. Period.
True: most people will stand in line for the party and few will wash dishes, bring you a sandwich, invest or call to encourage you through the grind. This is an issue as old as humanity has existed.
You see, it’s a truth that helps you. It may not feel like it when you are face down in the mud and you have zero reason to get back up, but it is crucial in understanding your world, your destiny.
Failure is nothing but the teacher. The teacher instructing you. Teaching you how to take a shot and how to give them. Teaching you how to fall with dignity and get the hell up with grace.

Diese drei Ohrmarken habe ich vor dem Eingang von dem Schlachthaus Westfleisch in Hamm gefunden. Während wir auf den nächsten Tiertransporter gewartet haben, bin ich die Straße auf und ab gelaufen, um mich warm zu halten. Dabei habe ich auf dem Boden das hier entdeckt. Wahrscheinlich sind die Ohr-Marken bei der Anlieferung aus dem LKW gefallen. Jede Marke steht für ein Lebewesen. Für ein Leben. Für ein Leben voller Leiden. Das Lebewesen wird nur als ein Stück Produkt oder Ware gesehen. Die Tiere, deren Marke ich in der Hand halte, liege gerade in diesem Moment wahrscheinlich bei jemandem auf dem Teller.

Auch vor dem Mord müssen die Tiere viele Schmerzen und Misshandlungen aushalten. Dem Schweinen wurde ohne Betäubung die Hoden heraus geschnitten, sein Schwanz wurde ohne Betäubung abgeschnitten. Den Hühnern werden die Schnabel abgeschnitten. Dem Kalb werden die Hörner ausgebrannt. Jedes Tier bekommt eine Nummer, damit der Bauer sein Eigentum kennzeichnen kann. Wie ein Strichcode. Meiner Meinung nach sind Tiere jedoch keine Ware, sondern Lebewesen. Jedes Tier ist ein Individuum, mit Charakter und Bedürfnissen. Ein Schwein ist wohlmöglich neugierig und mutig, das andere ist verspielt und frech das andere zutraulich und liebebedürftig. Für den Bauern ist es jedoch nur eine Nummer.

Jedes Jahr werden bei Westfleisch 8,26 Millionen Schweine und 424.000 Rinder und Kälber getötet. Ich trage das Schicksal der Tiere nun in meiner Hand. Derjenige der das Wissen über das Leid hat, hat auch die Verantwortung es zu bekämpfen.
