Here’s a stunner sunset from the very first night spent right in front of this iconic mountain. Talk about setting the bar high for our time in this park. Jaw dropping views, but those mosquitos.... They are SAVAGE!

Imagine sitting on the edge by the water. Watching the sun rise. Drinking your hot cup of coffee you just brewed with your JetBoil. Listening to the sound of those early birds chirping, feeling a slight morning chill in the air with the wind barely blowing, seeing a beaver across the water bobbing its head up and skimming the water. With no one else around. Zero. Peaceful. Serene. Incredible. That’s exactly what you’d be experiencing watching this sunrise with me on my second day at this national park. Completely took me by surprise how beautiful this place is and totally worth the plane ride AND boat ride we had to take to get here.
When I was younger and well into my college years, I would have woke up today and thought, “Ugh, Singles Awareness Day 🙄” Counting down the hours till the day was over, and I could buy all that chocolate at half price. Lol.
Over the past few years, it’s been such a heart-warming, eye-opening lesson I’ve learned on what Valentine’s Day is really about. Celebrating love doesn’t come solely from your significant other. I know, such a basic statement, but I’m laughing at myself for how long it took me to realize this. To be surrounded by so many friends and family that love and care for you. To have a passion you love and enjoy. To share your love with others. It’s a beautiful thing.
I sound like a cheesy, high school, love bird over here. I wouldn’t have it any other way. When you’ve been through the ups and downs and come out better for it, you realize what really matters in life and how blessed you are.
So what if you don’t have a significant other? That’s okay. You have so much love to give and receive from the other blessings in your life. More than you realize. Appreciate that today. PLUS-you don’t have to share any of that chocolate with anyone but yourself. And that is a pretty awesome day in my book.
You’ll find me in the seasonal aisle tomorrow with a cart load of chocolate. No shame in my game. 😊🖤

Not enough days were spent walking this very trail to our lovely, rustic, and red-roofed cabin. The gem of our Canada trip. Worth every minute of all the vacations to go here again. 💙

When there’s no showers around, you make due with what you have. Nature’s very own bathtub 🛀 The dirtbag life isn’t terrible, when you have these views surrounding you.

Night strolls worth staying out late. Driving madly to make it in time for sunset to a spot you have no idea is right or not. Purely hoping you find what you’re looking for just by keeping an eye out your window. Winding around those tiny roads. Till you finally see what you’re looking for. That was our first night here, and the start of an epic road trip.

Sometimes I wish the good hiking spots could be like New Year’s Resolutions at the gym. Last month you couldn’t even get to the squat rack or treadmill. 6 days into February, and it’s empty. Probably going to be the same for the rest of the year too. Wishful thinking. 😂🤞🏻

Spring weather in February for the next 6 days? I’ll take it! Makes me itch to find a hiking gem like this one in Oregon. Not many places I haven’t already scouted out in Tn and hiked. I’ve been told it’s time to start google earth researching for good secret spots not on the radar yet. I’ve got some homework to do and probably won’t be geotagging it if I find one. No offense for my local peeps. 😊

The first stop on our Europe trip was to here. Pools of emerald and turquoise waters in every crook and cranny in Slovenia. Highly underrated and thankful it is, so we could have most of it to ourselves.

Storm clouds rolled in and out all day during our hike up to this view. The setting sun cast a beautiful glow on those mountain tops. Rolling fields of these yellow alpine flowers that could make you fall in love at first sight. Even my allergies could care less with this sight. 😍

5pm traffic you say? It’s smooth sailing over on this side. 😎 Can’t beat a ride in style when backpacking through Alaska. Such a fun adventure and new form of transportation for us! Especially being the co-pilot with being the birthday girl. 💁🏼♀️ can’t beat that birthday present!
