David Lynch Foundation Non-profit working to prevent and eradicate the epidemic of trauma and toxic stress among at-risk populations, through #TranscendentalMeditation
“After I attended all four sessions, I was off and meditating on my own. Apart from a few days with the flu, I didn’t miss a session. I surprised myself at how much I stuck to it… I meditated for 20 minutes every morning and afternoon, on gym floors and airplane seats and my sofa, with my dog napping next to me.”
@nytimes wellness columnist Marisa Meltzer came to our Midtown offices to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique from one of our skilled teachers, Peter Lamoureux. Read about her positive experience adopting the practice at the link in our bio.

Your support, generosity, and loyalty have enabled us to teach TM for free to veterans with PTSD, underserved youth, and survivors of violence and abuse.
We are changing lives with this deeply powerful tool, but none of it would be possible without YOU!
Happy #ValentinesDay !

Sharad Kharé sat down with @meditationbob at the #DLF offices in New York recently to get an update on our work as we begin our 15th year providing Transcendental Meditation to underserved populations, and embarking on major new third-party research studies which will help us secure private and public sector funding so that everyone in America who wants to meditate can do so. Thank you @skharecom for your passion and conviction and your skilled storytelling—and thank you to @thrive for giving voice to our work and all the wonderful people who support and help make it possible. @ElleDecor has launched its inaugural “Not For Sale” Auction, benefitting charities chosen by the participating artists. Lindsey Adelman, who inspired the auction, created this “Shady Side Candelabra,” and selected the David Lynch Foundation to receive the proceeds from the piece.
Lindsey shared “Shady Side Candelabra” with ELLE DECOR at her Manhattan studio, saying it was so precious to her, it was beyond monetary value. This inspired ELLE DECOR to ask a different artist each month to create a piece with no price tag, for charitable auction. View the “Not For Sale” Auction on @paddle8 at the link in our bio.
You can bid on Lindsey’s work for DLF now through February 5. Our thanks to Lindsey for supporting the David Lynch Foundation with her art!

Friday, January 18th, our wonderful colleagues and friends at the David Lynch Foundation office in Chicago co-hosted the opening reception of a special meditation-inspired art exhibit, entitled “Rebuilding the Present,” at the Weinberg/Newton Gallery in Chicago. David Lynch is among the artists whose work is represented in the exhibit, and he joined the reception live via video call to answer questions from attendees. As you can see and hear in this video, everyone joined in for a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” for David!
David, your birthday celebrations keep rolling!
A little background about the event: @davidlynchfoundationchicago’s collaboration with the @weinbergnewtongallery is part of a three-month partnership joining art, social justice issues and DLF’s work to bring TM to underserved communities in Chicago. “Rebuilding the Present” is on display now through April 13, along with three more DLF/WNG events, February 7, March 7, and April 4. “It’s all exhausting—life is just totally exhausting! And this is the antidote to exhaustion. Just as simple as that.”
@jerryseinfeld talks about the benefits of Transcendental Meditation (TM) during our 14th annual "Change Begins Within” benefit dinner in December 2018 to raise support to bring TM for free to at-risk students attending under-resourced schools in New York City. #TranscendentalMeditation#TM#meditation#ChangeBeginsWithin
Today’s @id10t podcast is all about centering yourself. The guest is an amazing fellow by the name of Bob Roth, who has been teaching Transcendental Meditation for 50 years and is head of the David Lynch Foundation. TM is life-changing in the way it calms the chatter in your mind and gives you a sense of space between you and your reactive self. It gives you focus, and blankets you in a general sense of well-being. Bob is so wise and so kind that even if you don’t feel like jumping on the TM train, I think you’ll just enjoy listening to him. But if you ARE looking for something to improve the quality of your life as you crawl toward 2019, then this ep is extra for you! And no matter what please remember that you deserve to be nice to yourself! Oh and I forgot to ask Bob for a pic so here’s the closest thematic photo I could find—me jumping on a very cold beach in San Simeon, CA taken by @thetylershields.
Listen to @meditationbob’s episode at the link in his bio, or anywhere #podcasts are available. The conversation begins at the 3-minute mark. #TranscendentalMeditation#TM
